Breathe+ Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 17, 2026
Breathe+ is a wellness app for short breathing, grounding, journaling, and reset sessions on iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what the app may access, how data is handled, and the privacy choices available to you.
Information Breathe+ May Use
Depending on which features you enable, Breathe+ may use:
- Session history, reset preferences, breathing patterns, prompt settings, and weekly report information.
- Optional HealthKit information, such as heart and HRV-related metrics, to estimate when a short reset may be useful.
- Optional calendar busy windows to avoid prompting during meetings or blocked time.
- Optional microphone access for short voice journal entries that you choose to record.
- Optional journal metadata, transcripts, tags, and post-session feeling check-ins that you choose to save.
- Subscription entitlement status for Breathe+ Plus.
How Information Is Used
Breathe+ uses information to provide guided resets, haptic timing, smart prompt timing, weekly summaries, private journaling, widgets, App Shortcuts, and subscription access. HealthKit and calendar information are used only to support wellness timing and app features.
Local Storage and Processing
Breathe+ is designed to work offline first. Session history, settings, weekly reports, and journal information are stored locally by default using Apple platform storage. Sensitive local files are written with platform file-protection options where available.
HealthKit
HealthKit access is optional. If you grant access, Breathe+ may read selected heart and HRV-related data to estimate useful reset moments and may save mindful session metadata if you allow it. Breathe+ does not sell HealthKit data, use it for advertising, or share it with data brokers.
Calendar
Calendar access is optional and is used to detect busy windows so Breathe+ can avoid sending prompts during meetings or other blocked time. Calendar event content is not used for advertising.
Microphone and Journals
Microphone access is optional and is used only when you choose to record a voice reflection. Journal entries are stored locally by default. You can delete journal entries and can disable journaling prompts.
Notifications and Widgets
Breathe+ may use notifications, widgets, and App Shortcuts to start resets or show summaries. These features use local app state and your chosen settings.
Data Sharing
Breathe+ does not sell your personal data. Breathe+ does not use health or journal content for third-party advertising. The app may use Apple services required for platform features, such as HealthKit, StoreKit, notifications, widgets, and App Store subscription validation.
Analytics
If analytics are added in the future, they should avoid collecting raw health data, voice journal audio, journal content, and precise stress-likelihood values. Any analytics should be limited to product reliability and privacy-respecting usage signals.
Your Choices
- You can use Breathe+ in manual mode without HealthKit access.
- You can grant or revoke HealthKit, calendar, microphone, and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- You can delete journal entries and local app data from inside the app where those controls are available.
- You can disable journaling prompts, weekly reports, and smart prompt behavior in app settings.
Children
Breathe+ is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact support so it can be addressed.
Medical Disclaimer
Breathe+ is a wellness app, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency support. If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.
Changes
This policy may be updated as Breathe+ changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
